Flooring styles we carry

Floors are the foundation of a beautiful, healthy home. Your floors should not only look beautiful but should be healthy and safe for you, your family, and the environment.

Engineered Wood

Engineered wood is a layer of high-quality wood atop a stable core of another wood like plywood. It’s less damaging to forests as minimal high-quality wood is used. It’s an ideal choice for installing over concrete.

Cork

These floors are produced from the bark of a cork oak tree. The great thing about cork is that it is renewable and can be harmlessly harvested from the tree every 9 years. It is a natural insulator, is quiet to walk on, and stays warm in winter and cool in summer.

Tile

Many of our tile options contain both pre- and post-consumer materials. This keeps tons of waste out of landfills every year. Tile is durable, water resistant, and a great choice for bathrooms, kitchens, and other high-moisture areas.

Wool Carpet

Wool fibers are shorn from sheep every 9-12 months - a natural and renewable material. It’s naturally curly, structured fiber, which is crush resistant for longer life. Wool fibers are stain resistant without additional chemicals. It is naturally soft, quiet, and hypoallergenic.

Bamboo

Bamboo flooring is made from stalks of moso bamboo that has been shredded or sliced and formed into planks. It is renewable as the bamboo plant can be harvested every 5-6 years. It is extremely durable and is a great option for a high traffic home, while still maintaining the warm and inviting feel of hardwood.

Linoleum

Our linoleum is comprised of linseed oil and natural rosin mixed with wood flour, limestone, and earth ground pigments pressed into a jute backing, making it highly durable. It’s 100% certified biobased, made from rapidly renewable raw materials, and biodegradable or recyclable.

Natural Fiber Carpet

We offer 3 natural fiber carpets - Sisal, which is harvested from the agave plant, Jute, which is created from the stems of the jute plant, and Seagrass, a plant harvested from rice fields. All are sustainably harvested and naturally renewable. They are naturally strong and durable as well as biodegradable.

Reclaimed Wood

This is wood taken from old barns, siding, or old flooring and is re-milled into new flooring. It eliminates the need to cut down new trees, making it a sustainable option with a rustic and traditional aesthetic.

Laminate

Our laminate is made from 74% pre-consumer recycled wood, with a moisture resistant silicon-coated HDF core, a design layer and an impact resistant finish. Its locking system eliminates the need for adhesives in installation. It has the look of exotic wood without harming exotic trees.

Synthetic Carpet

Synthetic carpet is composed primarily of nylon or polyester, and many of our synthetic carpets also contain recycled materials. Its focus on cradle-to-cradle life cycles keeps materials out of landfills, while remaining budget friendly.
